General Employment Details
Permanent Full-Time (40 Hours/ week)
Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm

Hourly Rate: $23.00-$25.00

Reports to: Mechanical Manager

ADESA/OPENLANE Vancouver is one of ADESA/OPENLANE Canada's 14 wholesale vehicle auctions that are located across Canada, coast to coast and the employer of choice in the Canadian automotive remarketing industry.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Interpret inspection results together with the Technician to source the right parts required for open work orders.
  • Source for parts needed for repair and maintenance of vehicles at different aftermarket and OEM, used and jobber parts suppliers placing orders by telephone and online systems.
  • Organize parts by repair order and assign work to the next available technician.
  • Support service technicians in their inquiries about parts and ETA.
  • Monitor backorders and returns to parts suppliers.
  • Organize new parts on shelves and identify by work order.
  • Inventory management and reconciliation - including accurate monthly counts - maintaining optimum stock levels and reordering.
  • Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day.
  • Ability to use computer system for entering and tracking parts orders and preparing repair estimates and billing.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
 

  • 3 years of Parts Advisor experience.
  • Automotive industry experience with an understanding of automotive parts and product lines.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Must be well organized, multi-tasker, work well under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • An understanding of Automotive (repair) knowledge and automotive product lines.
  • Proficient in Google Suite applications
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds as some vehicle parts are heavy.
  • Flexible schedule required Monday -Saturday.
