Job description
We are looking for a dynamic and organized sales Floor Manager to join our dealership team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day sales activities. This person will serve as a resource for the sales team.
Sales management:
• Mentor and support sales consultants throughout the sales process;
• Actively participate in structuring transactions;
• Set sales prices and terms;
• Maximize profitability for each transaction;
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer and dealership policies;
• Obtain necessary approvals when required.
Customer management:
• Step in during complex situations or major negotiations;
• Make presentations to the manager (“T.O.”) when necessary;
• Ensure a professional customer experience that meets the dealership’s standards;
• Effectively manage complaints and help resolve them.
Team management:
• Mentor, motivate, and develop sales consultants;
• Participate in the training of new employees;
• Monitor individual performance on a daily basis;
• Maintain a positive work environment focused on performance and collaboration.
Inventory management:
• Collaborate with sales managers to optimize vehicle turnover;
• Recommend the most appropriate vehicles based on customer needs and inventory objectives;
• Track inventory units and ensure optimal inventory turnover.
Administrative management:
• Verify the accuracy of sales records before transferring them to the Finance & Insurance (F&I) department;
• Ensure that all required documents are complete;
• Keep CRM (Activix) information up to date;
• Generate reports requested by management.
Performance and metrics:
Responsible for meeting the following metrics:
• New and used vehicle sales targets;
• Gross profit per vehicle;
• Opportunity conversion rate;
• Cross-sell penetration;
• Customer satisfaction (CSI);
• Adherence to sales processes;
• Accuracy of records.
Desired profile:
• Excellent knowledge of the automotive sales process;
• Good knowledge of auto financing;
• Proficiency in negotiation techniques;
• Proficiency in CRM and DMS systems;
• Strong customer service orientation;
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team;
• Rigorous and detail-oriented;
• Experience in a car dealership (a plus);
• Fluent in French (required), English (a plus).
