To support this growth, we are creating a second Assistant Sales Manager / Desk Manager position. This is not a replacement, but a new strategic role that will work alongside our General Sales Manager and our current Desk Manager.

Your mission:
You will be the co-leader of the showroom alongside the other Assistant Sales Manager / Desk Manager. Your role will be to coach the sales consultants, supervise the sales process, closely manage showroom traffic, and contribute directly to the dealership's performance.
At our dealership, every sales consultant sells both new and pre-owned vehicles, so you will work with both types of customers. You will be present on the showroom floor, supporting both your team and our customers.
Your main responsibilities:
Leadership and coaching:
- Coach and mentor sales consultants on a daily basis;
- Develop their sales skills;
- Ensure an excellent knowledge of Mazda products and our pre-owned inventory;
- Maintain a high level of motivation and performance;
- Ensure compliance with our sales process.
Traffic management:

You will be responsible for supervising and managing:
- Appointments;
- Internet leads;
- Phone inquiries;
- Walk-in customers;
- Lease renewals;
- Opportunities transferred by our BDC.
You will ensure that no sales opportunity is missed.
Responsibilities:
- Manage showroom operations;
- Welcome customers and conduct the initial customer interview;
- Assign customers to sales consultants;
- Supervise the progress of sales transactions;
- Appraise trade-in vehicles;
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience;
- Supervise the entire sales process;
- Structure pricing (our sales consultants do not negotiate pricing—you control the transaction to maximize profitability and closing ratios);
- Support sales consultants during negotiations and perform the required T.O. (mandatory);
- Follow up with customers within 24 hours;
- Manage purchase offers and related documentation;
- Ensure the sales consultant has properly inspected the customer's vehicle before delivery;
- Thank customers during delivery and request a Google review;
- Monitor closing ratios and coach the sales team;
- Source locate vehicles and oversee the rotation of new vehicle inventory;
- Manage the vehicles displayed in the showroom;
- Assign lease renewals to sales consultants;
- Support other departments with their daily operations.
You will supervise the sales consultants to ensure they follow our sales process:
- Properly qualify customer needs;
- Complete a full vehicle presentation;
- Ensure every customer completes a test drive;
- Conduct trade-in vehicle evaluations.
The ideal candidate:
We are looking for someone who enjoys achieving results, coaching others, and helping a team grow.
- Previous experience as a Desk Manager, Assistant Sales Manager, or Sales Manager in an automotive dealership (required);
- Strong leadership skills;
- Excellent organizational abilities;
- Strong priority management skills;
- Outstanding customer service approach;
- Excellent stress management skills;
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously;
