Job description

One of our ALBI le Géant dealerships on the North Shore of Montreal is currently looking for a Shop Foreman to join its After-Sales Service team.

Key responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and supervise shop operations to ensure optimal productivity;
- Assign work fairly among technicians based on their skills and workload;
- Monitor the progress of repairs and ensure deadlines are met;
- Provide technical support to technicians when required;
- Maintain a high level of repair quality and minimize repeat repairs;
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer policies and warranty procedures;
- Work closely with Service Advisors to ensure effective communication with customers;
- Assist in resolving customer concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction;
- Perform road tests to validate the quality of repairs;
- Monitor the department’s key performance indicators;
- Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and development of technicians;
- Foster a positive work environment and strong team spirit within the department;
- Ensure the ongoing training and development of team members;
- Manage specialized tools and shop equipment;
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment that complies with established standards;
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by management.

Job requirements:

- Relevant experience in automotive mechanics;
- Experience supervising or coordinating a team (a significant asset);
- Excellent organizational and priority management skills;
- Strong leadership abilities and excellent teamwork skills;
- Commitment to quality workmanship and outstanding customer service;
- Strong communication skills;
- Valid driver's licence;
- Knowledge of manufacturer warranty procedures (an asset).
