Workshop Foreman - Service Department.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Fixed Operations, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing the team that prepares new and used vehicles.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create and manage work orders for new and used vehicles;
- Ensure that work is performed according to dealer and manufacturer standards, with efficiency and precision;
- Monitor the progress of work on deliveries and vehicles in inventory;
- Coordinate subcontracting for specialized work;
- Manage team priorities to meet delivery deadlines;
- Check the progress of each repair throughout the day;
- Maintain high-quality service and minimize returns to the shop;
- Supervise the team of technicians and participate in the recruitment of qualified candidates;
- Assign repairs based on each technician’s skills;
- Evaluate technicians’ performance on a regular basis;
- Foster team spirit within the department and with other departments;
- Monitor the cleanliness, safety, and general condition of the workshop;
- Perform any other related tasks as required by management.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate in French;
- Strong organizational and planning skills;
- Ability to work independently, with precision and attention to detail;
- Analytical and synthesis skills;
- Basic computer skills.
