Job description

HGrégoire is currently looking for a Service and Inventory Manager to oversee the reconditioning, preparation, and vehicle delivery operations across its four dealerships.

The ideal candidate will be structured, proactive, and able to manage a high volume of vehicles while ensuring the company’s standards for quality and speed are met.

Responsibilities
    • Oversee the entire vehicle reconditioning process and ensure preparation deadlines are met
    • Ensure vehicles are prepared according to company quality standards
    • Supervise the team responsible for vehicle preparation and deliveries
    • Coordinate preparation stages with subcontractors
    • Verify the quality of completed work and the costs invoiced by suppliers and subcontractors
    • Estimate and control reconditioning costs to optimize expenses
    • Open and close work orders related to vehicle preparation and delivery
    • Maintain accurate tracking of vehicle inventory
    • Ensure communication between sales, finance, delivery, and service departments
    • Manage after-sales service issues and provide prompt, professional follow-up with customers
    • Handle yard-related files when required
    • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
    • Analyze recurring issues and propose effective solutions
    • Perform any other related duties requested by management

Required Profile
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
    • Mandatory experience in the automotive industry, ideally with used vehicles
    • Intermediate to advanced bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) to communicate with both English- and French-speaking customers
    • Strong ability to manage high-volume operations
    • Leadership skills and ability to supervise a team
    • Strong organizational skills and excellent priority management
    • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Knowledge of automotive mechanics and parts
    • Strong communication skills and professional customer service approach
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency with computer tools and management software
    • Knowledge of the ERA system (an asset)
