Managing the supply chain of replacement components. Organising and listing excess stock on online portals to sell.
Their role primarily involves maintaining and liquidating excess, surplus, or returned parts to minimize financial losses and optimize shop space.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Inventory Control:
Perform regular physical audits of parts on hand.
Develop digital inventory record of all parts.
Reconcile inventory system with items sold and balance on hand.
Stock Organization:
Label, bin and digitally list and physical store all excess parts - so they are easily locatable.
Reporting:
Investigate and report damaged, missing parts.
Ensure digital record and report of all parts and sold parts daily - communicate to owner.
Selling & Liquidate Excess Parts:
Create and manage up to date listings for surplus parts on automotive marketplaces or wholesale channels to liquidate excess stock.
Customer Service: Answer inquiries regarding part compatibility, pricing, and availability to ensure smooth wholesale or public sales.
Formation(s)
Key Skills & Industry Knowledge:
Ideally familiarity with automotive components.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency with MS Office; online systems;
Organization & Detail: Ability to meticulously track parts and sales
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively negotiate with customers buying parts.
