Job description
Your mission:
As the shop's master technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of vehicles and equipment to ensure their safety, performance, and reliability for our valued customers.

Your responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Sales Department, Parts Manager, apprentice technicians, and Service Advisors to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction;
- Diagnose and inspect vehicles and equipment to identify defects;
- Analyze repair orders accurately and efficiently according to dealership and manufacturer standards, and record your time for each repair operation using the time clock system;
- Verify the accuracy of information on repair orders (VIN, license plate, and mileage) and make corrections when necessary;
- Perform all required repairs within the billed time allocated on repair orders;
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, including inspecting, repairing, replacing, and adjusting components and systems as needed;
- Perform road tests and ensure that all completed work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards;
- Complete inspections using the company tablet in accordance with company standards (3C), document all work performed, and maintain accurate service records;
- Follow health, safety, and quality standards, stay informed of federal, provincial, and municipal regulations, and comply with all current procedures;
- Continuously develop your skills and adapt to new technologies (hybrid, electric, and electronic vehicles), develop specialized expertise when applicable, and stay informed of manufacturer technical service bulletins;
- Retain and label replaced parts when repairs are covered under warranty or when requested by the customer;
- Supervise apprentice technicians and share your expertise;
- Ensure customers' vehicles remain clean while in the shop.
Experience:
- 6 to 9 years of experience.

Training
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Automotive Mechanics;
- Must hold a valid Journeyman Mechanic’s licence.
