Job description
HGrégoire is currently looking for a Service and Inventory Manager to oversee the reconditioning, preparation, and vehicle delivery operations across its four dealerships.
The ideal candidate will be structured, proactive, and able to manage a high volume of vehicles while ensuring the company’s standards for quality and speed are met.
Responsibilities:
•Oversee the entire vehicle reconditioning process and ensure preparation deadlines are met;
•Ensure vehicles are prepared according to company quality standards;
•Supervise the team responsible for vehicle preparation and deliveries;
•Coordinate preparation stages with subcontractors;
•Verify the quality of completed work and the costs invoiced by suppliers and subcontractors;
•Estimate and control reconditioning costs to optimize expenses;
•Open and close work orders related to vehicle preparation and delivery;
•Maintain accurate tracking of vehicle inventory;
•Ensure communication between sales, finance, delivery, and service departments;
•Manage after-sales service issues and provide prompt, professional follow-up with customers;
•Handle yard-related files when required;
•Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction;
•Analyze recurring issues and propose effective solutions;
•Perform any other related duties requested by management.
Required profile:
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role;
•Mandatory experience in the automotive industry, ideally with used vehicles;
•Intermediate to advanced bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) to communicate with both English- and French-speaking customers;
•Strong ability to manage high-volume operations;
•Leadership skills and ability to supervise a team;
•Strong organizational skills and excellent priority management;
•Good analytical and problem-solving abilities;
•Knowledge of automotive mechanics and parts;
•Strong communication skills and professional customer service approach;
•Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
•Proficiency with computer tools and management software;
•Knowledge of the ERA system (an asset).
