The Alignment Specialist / Automotive Technician is responsible for accurately and efficiently diagnosing and performing vehicle alignment services, using advanced equipment including Hunter 3D alignment technology.

Our technicians work in brand-new, clean and fully air-conditioned shops designed to provide comfort, efficiency and safety every day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Alignment and diagnostics:

- Perform vehicle alignment inspections and diagnostics;
- Perform wheel alignments using Hunter 3D alignment equipment;
- Take measurements before and after alignment work;
- Interpret alignment reports and identify deviations from manufacturer specifications;
- Perform required adjustments to toe, camber and caster when possible;
- Identify suspension, steering or component issues that may affect vehicle alignment;
- Perform a final inspection to ensure all work meets required specifications.

Tires, suspension and steering:

- Inspect tire condition and identify signs of abnormal wear;
- Inspect suspension and steering components that may affect alignment;
- Identify and report defective components or components requiring repair;
- Collaborate with technicians to determine any additional repairs required;
- Remove and reinstall wheels and other components required to complete alignment work, when necessary.

Quality and safety:

- Follow company safety standards and manufacturer specifications;
- Properly operate Hunter 3D equipment, tools and specialized equipment;
- Ensure vehicles are properly positioned and secured before beginning work;
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area;
- Perform a final vehicle inspection before returning it to service;
- Report any situation that could compromise vehicle or employee safety.

Collaboration and communication:

- Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure clear communication regarding required repairs;
- Clearly communicate identified issues and recommendations;
- Properly document completed work and any issues identified;
- Meet deadlines established by the service department;
- Contribute to a professional, efficient and customer-focused work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

- Relevant experience in automotive mechanics and/or vehicle alignment;
- Good knowledge of suspension and steering systems;
- Experience with Hunter 3D alignment equipment is considered a strong asset;
- Ability to read and interpret alignment reports;
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills;
- Vocational training in automotive mechanics is considered an asset;
- Valid driver's licence;
- Strong teamwork skills;
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility;
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Full-time position;
- Daily use of specialized tools and equipment;
- Position requires standing for extended periods and handling automotive equipment and components;
- Fast-paced environment where speed, accuracy and quality are essential.
