Job description

Our well-established car dealership is currently seeking an Assistant Sales Manager to support the sales department leadership in achieving performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise, mentor, and support the sales team on a daily basis;
- Participate in the training and development of new sales consultants;
- Monitor individual performance and track the department’s progress toward its goals;
- Evaluate vehicles and determine their market positioning;
- Establish pricing strategies and ensure the profitability of transactions;
- Review and approve sales files to ensure compliance and profitability;
- Manage vehicle inventory and closely monitor days in stock;
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure vehicles are optimally prepared;
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, company standards, and applicable legal requirements;
- Participate in the implementation and monitoring of the department’s promotions and sales strategies;
- Ensure that all vehicles in inventory are listed online with up-to-date photos and descriptions;
- Maintain and develop good relationships with financial institutions and external partners;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes and the customer experience.

Qualifications:

- At least 2 years of experience in a similar automotive sales management role (Assistant Sales Manager, Sales Manager, Team Leader, or equivalent);
- Experience in the automotive industry, ideally at a dealership;
- Excellent knowledge of the entire automotive sales process and transaction management;
- Proven skills in leadership, coaching, and team motivation;
- Strong focus on results, profitability, and customer satisfaction;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with high performance goals;
- Good knowledge of inventory management tools and dealership administrative processes;
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a meticulous approach;
- Valid driver’s license.
