Job description
A major automotive dealership on the North Shore of Montreal, selling more than 1,000 new vehicles and 1,000 pre-owned vehicles annually, is looking for a Service Advisor to join its dynamic and professional team.
As a Service Advisor, you will play a central role in the vehicle preparation and delivery process for our customers.
Working conditions:
- Employment Type: full-time, permanent position;
- Work Arrangement: On-site.
Responsibilities:
- Manage vehicle preparation work orders by following established procedures and performing the necessary follow-ups in collaboration with various departments;
- Submit preparation requests to external service providers when required;
- Review parts invoices for each vehicle and monitor the time required to complete corrective work;
- Communicate any issues or requirements to the Sales, Finance, and Delivery Departments;
- Update vehicle history records with the details of preparation work orders;
- Follow up with customers and internal departments regarding post-delivery appointments and ensure any necessary corrections are completed to maintain customer satisfaction;
- Create preparation work orders for all vehicles entering the dealership, including demonstrator vehicles;
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dealership inventory;
- Monitor vehicle deliveries and ensure deadlines communicated to customers are met;
- Deliver outstanding customer service;
- Be responsible for reconditioning and pre-delivery preparation of inventory vehicles and vehicles assigned to the delivery department;
- Perform any other related duties as required by management.
Desired profile:
- Previous experience in the automotive industry, preferably in customer service or as a Service Advisor;
- Intermediate to advanced bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written, to effectively serve our bilingual clientele;
- Strong customer satisfaction focus and attention to detail;
- Thorough knowledge of vehicles and their systems, as well as a solid understanding of basic automotive mechanics;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as a team member;
- Proficiency with computer systems and automotive service management software (DMS).
