Job description

Our well-established car dealership in the Montreal area is currently seeking a General Sales Manager of New and Pre-Owned Vehicles to oversee all sales-related activities and drive continued growth.

We are looking for a motivational, results-oriented leader with solid experience in automotive sales management. The successful candidate will inspire their team, develop talent, and implement effective strategies to meet and exceed company goals.

Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, direct, and oversee the activities of the new and used vehicle sales department;
- Develop and implement sales strategies aimed at achieving volume, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals;
- Mentor, motivate, and support the team of sales managers and consultants;
- Analyze performance metrics and implement effective action plans;
- Ensure optimal management of new and used vehicle inventories;
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of team members;
- Maintain high standards for customer experience and service quality;
- Collaborate closely with various departments to ensure the dealership’s overall objectives are met;
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer policies and internal procedures;
- Foster a positive, motivating, and performance-oriented work environment.

Profile:

- Significant experience in automotive sales management, ideally as a Sales Manager or General Sales Manager;
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building skills;
- Strong business development and performance management skills;
- Strategic mindset and strong analytical skills;
- Strong focus on results and profitability;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, goal-oriented environment;
- Knowledge of best practices in the automotive industry.
