Description

With the continued growth in the industry, Scotlynn is currently hiring a Service Lead for our Peterbilt shop in Vittoria, ON. This role is for organized individuals who are passionate about the transportation industry and supporting a team of mechanics and AZ drivers.

Previous experience in 310T Truck & Trailer Mechanics/Maintenance is NOT a requirement; we hire for attitude and work ethic. 

ABOUT YOU

Successful Scotlynn Candidates Have:
 

  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products
  • Leadership and strong communication skills
  • Previous experience working in the automotive industry, shops preferred but not mandatory
  • ntermediate level of Excel skills
  • Service compliance with MTO regulations
  • A desire to learn, grow and support others


Work experience from the following industries is welcomed and appreciated: licensed or apprentice mechanics (310T or 310S), service advisors, logistics, dispatch, AZ drivers.

THE ROLE

Along with leading a team of dedicated mechanics, the Service Lead will be communicating with drivers and shop administration, organizing the team while upholding safety standards and budgets. Integrity, communication, and passion are essential to this role.

HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED WITH SCOTLYNN
 

  • Executing & supervising the service of the Scotlynn fleet of trucks & trailers
  • Review maintenance schedule and work orders
  • Diagnostic, service and preventative maintenance of storage and equipment/machinery
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to performance specifications
  • Provide clear communication and excellent customer service skills to drivers and customers in a team environment
  • On-call availability to provide support to drivers is required in this role

YOUR COMMITMENT
 

  • Full Time Permanent
  • Straight days
  • Work Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm, rotating weekends as needed
  • After-hour phone calls to support drivers as needed
