Working directly with the controller, the person we are looking for will have to perform a variety of tasks.

Duties :
- Perform all operations necessary for the preparation of the payroll, its coding, verification, validation and distribution for more than 110 employees (weekly payroll) ;
- Update sick hours, leaves, etc. for each employee;
- Handle employee files, termination notices and be the point of contact for all compensation and benefits issues;
- Ensure compliance with current regulations and the application of several collective agreements related to payroll;
- Prepare and verify end of period reports;
- Prepare and verify period end reports; Make changes to hourly rates and qualifications;
- Perform year-end preparation and production of T4 and Relevé 1 slips.
- Qualifications:
- 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
- Experience with unionized payroll;
- Excellent communication skills in French and English;
- Knowledge of the Nethris Payroll system an asset;
- Knowledge of the Nethris Payroll system would be an asset; Canadian Payroll Association certification would be an asset;
- Excellent knowledge of EXCEL;
- Enjoys working with numbers and following established procedures;
- Any other related duties.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Possess 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
- Experience with payroll for unionized employees;
- Excellent communication skills in French and English;
- Knowledge of the Nethris payroll system (an asset);
- Canadian Payroll Association certification (an asset);
- Excellent knowledge of Excel;
- Enjoys manipulating numbers and following established procedures.
