Your area of focus.
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Lot Manager to lead and oversee all vehicle lot operations at St. James VolkswagenThis leadership role is responsible for managing a team of Lot Attendants, coordinating inventory movement, maintaining dealership presentation standards, and ensuring vehicles are ready to support both sales and service operations.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating efficient processes that keep the dealership running smoothly. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, an organized problem-solver, and a leader who can motivate a team while maintaining high operational standards.

What drives your day-to-day?
- Lead, coach, and supervise a team of Lot Attendants, ensuring accountability, productivity, and professional development.
- Coordinate daily lot operations and assign priorities to ensure efficient workflow and inventory management.
- Maintain a well-organized, professional, and customer-ready vehicle lot at all times.
- Partner with Sales, Service, Detail, and Management teams to support inventory readiness and vehicle movement.
- Monitor vehicle inventory locations and ensure vehicles are accurately tracked and easily accessible.
- Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of vehicles to customers, vendors, and other dealership locations.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure vehicles meet dealership presentation standards.
- Ensure that vehicles are parked in an orderly manner and that all vehicles are easily accessible for transport and delivery.
- Train new team members on dealership procedures, safety standards, and operational expectations.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance overall lot operations.
- Support inventory management and administrative activities related to vehicle logistics and lot operations.
What are the must-haves...
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in automotive, dealership, logistics, inventory management, retail operations, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform administrative tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and administrative processes.
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions when required.
- Experience coordinating vehicle inventory, fleet operations, or dealership support functions is considered a strong asset.
