Engine Field Service Technician

Job Description

Job Summary:

Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer's site.

We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Dubreuilville, ON). 
 

• Rotational Position supporting Alamos Magino Mine near Dubreuilville, Ontario.
• Rotation is 7 days on, 7 days off - but subject to change to meet business requirements.

Will make an impact in the following ways:
 

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

Responsibilities

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
 

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Qualifications

 

• Rotational Position supporting Alamos Magino Mine near Dubreuilville, Ontario.
• Rotation is 7 days on, 7 days off - but subject to change to meet business requirements.
• Mining experience preferred.
• May be subject to Drug and Alcohol Testing

-This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations and must meet the conditions of the company policy,

Education, Licenses, Certifications: 
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution 
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. 

Experience: 
Basic level field service work experience
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Customer service experience

Compensation and Benefits
