About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanic Apprentice with an entrepreneurial mindset to support our growing operations. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, eager to learn, and passionate about working on a wide range of equipment, including:
 

  • Landscaping equipment
  • Snow removal equipment
  • Tractors
  • Heavy machinery
  • Work trucks


Reporting to the Mississauga Mechanic, you will assist with preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on vehicles and equipment. You'll also gain experience using Protractor software to log work and maintenance records.
Key Responsibilities
 

  • Assist the Mechanic with shop duties, including advising on major repairs or replacements
  • Order parts, equipment, and supplies (as approved by the Head Mechanic)
  • Perform diagnostics on vehicle systems, including wiring schematics
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Follow instructions accurately and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality, punctuality, and safe work practices
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members

Requirements
 

  • Working towards a 310S Mechanic License
  • Graduation from a recognized Automotive Service Technician Program
  • 3+ years' experience working with small engines
  • Valid Class G Driver's License with a clean record
  • Own trade tools and steel-toe safety boots
  • Computer literacy (experience with maintenance software an asset)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility for 24/7 availability during peak seasons

Hours of Work
 

  • Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 5:00 pm
