  • Responsible for the implementation, execution, monitoring, and adjustment of stamping quality processes, procedures, and documentation.
  • Drive quality concern resolution with cross-functional teams, including production, and engineering
  • Drive incoming quality improvements with suppliers
  • Document the appropriate responses and establish permanent corrective actions
  • Liaise with Body Shop on a continual basis, fostering collaborative, solution-oriented relationships
  • Support reaction plans and containment initiatives
  • Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution
  • Apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products
  • Knowledge of and ability to execute dimensional measurement systems analysis & variable data analysis
  • Interpret data from inspection equipment and recommend responses
  • Develop dimensional, product and process control plans
  • Perform daily audits ensuring adherence to the Quality Operating System
  • Ensure gauge calibration; certification; and repeatability and duplicability
  • Identify and eliminate sources of variation within the production environment


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
 

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • 5 years manufacturing experience in a quality role.
    • 3 years read prints, AutoCAD, 3D Modelling, Additive Manufacturing.
    • 3 years of Lean Tools - 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, and Value Stream Mapping.
    • Must be able to work all shifts which may include days, afternoons, midnights (straight) and/or weekends.


Preferred Requirements:
 

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Note: Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.
    Experience:
    • Understanding of aluminum sheet metal stamping, GD&T.
    • Automotive manufacturing experience in Stamping.
    • Experience working with exterior sheet metal.
    • Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
    • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.
    • Statistical Process Control experience.
    • Total Quality Management (TQM) and Kaizen Methods.
    • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), DMAIC Project Methodologies and DOEs experience.
    • Visual Factory Management experience.
    • Knowledge of constraint management principles.
    • Experience working in a leadership role.
    • Experience working in a unionized environment.
