Parts Clerk

Position Summary

The Parts Clerk is responsible for providing efficient service to internal and external customers by identifying, preparing, and ordering required parts. The role also contributes to maintaining an organized inventory and supporting the overall efficiency of the Parts Department.

Main Responsibilities:

- Greet and assist customers at the parts counter and by phone.
- Identify and locate required parts using catalogues and computer systems.
- Prepare parts required by service technicians.
- Order parts from suppliers when necessary.
- Receive, verify, and stock incoming orders.
- Process parts sales and invoicing.
- Manage parts returns and backorders.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory and storage area.
- Participate in physical inventory counts.
- Work closely with the Service, Sales, and Administration departments.
- Perform any other related duties required for the proper operation of the department.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong customer service skills.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Comfortable working with computer systems.
- Knowledge of automotive parts is an asset.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in the automotive industry or in a similar position is an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset.
- Functional spoken and written English.

Conditions:

- Full-time position.
- Schedule based on Parts Department operating hours.
- Compensation based on experience.
