Job Title: Boom Cleaner

Note: This role is a Night Shift Position and pays a premium of $2.20 per hour worked.

Pay Range: $22.25 - $26.20

Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, the Boom Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning the Booms from any residual material or visual marks resulting from the previous welding operations, in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that each product meets the required quality and efficiency Standards.

Responsibility:
 

  • Independently clean the welded booms by removing any welding marks (drips, burns marks, ...) following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to our standard or average allotted times
  • Operate small hand tools, brushes, chisels, hammers and other hand tools related to the job's needs.
  • Operate cranes to maneuver the parts
  • Maintain a clean work area and equipment
  • Ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition, reporting maintenance services when required
  • Safely load and unload parts from the cleaning area
  • Check Individual output to ensure highest quality
  • Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts
  • Work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Company rules, policies, and procedures
  • Assist other team members and take on other duties as assigned by the lead hand or supervisor


Academic/Educational Requirements:
 

  • High-School Diploma or equivalent is preferred


Required Skills/Experience:
 

  • Experience in an industrial environment is preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Safe operation of overhead Cranes.
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs with the assistance of a lifting device
  • Must be organized, proactive, and maintain a positive attitude in the workplace
  • Ability to operate overhead crane (training will be provided)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing or workshop setting with noise exposure
  • Mandatory use of common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
  • Physically demanding - bending, crouching, walking, standing for extended periods of time
