Experienced Tire Installer

A position for a tire enthusiast looking to build a career in the automotive industry!

Canadian Tire LaSalle is looking for an experienced Tire Installer to join its team. If you are fast, detail-oriented and take pride in a job well done, this opportunity could help you build a rewarding career in a dynamic environment.

Permanent, full-time position.
Variable schedule: days, evenings and weekends.
Base salary plus commission, based on experience.

Main responsibilities:

- Take charge of vehicles, position them on the lift and remove the wheels;
- Mount and dismount tires using specialized equipment;
- Install new tires on rims accurately and efficiently;
- Balance wheels and install the appropriate wheel weights;
- Install wheels on vehicles and follow the manufacturer’s recommended torque specifications using a torque wrench;
- Inspect tire condition, including tread wear, air pressure and valves;
- Reset tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors;
- Mark tires for storage;
- Keep tools, equipment and the work area clean, safe and functional;
- Assist mechanics with certain tasks as needed;
- Perform wheel alignments, a significant asset for the position.

Profile we’re looking for:

- Previous tire installation experience is required;
- Good knowledge of tire mounting, dismounting and balancing techniques;
- Ability to operate tire mounting and balancing machines;
- Valid driver’s licence;
- Good physical condition and ability to regularly lift tires and wheels;
- Ability to work standing for extended periods and maintain a steady work pace;
- Wheel alignment experience is an asset.
