Job description
- Inventory control: Maintain balanced inventory levels, minimize obsolescence, and ensure that stock levels are sufficient to meet the needs of the workshop and customers;
- Orders and returns: Efficiently manage the ordering, receipt, and return of parts, including tracking parts under warranty to obtain manufacturer credits;
- Organization: Maintain order, organization, and cleanliness in the department;
- Financial and Strategic Management – Profitability: Set and achieve sales and profitability targets by analyzing monthly sales, expense, and inventory reports;
- Budget: Manage the department’s annual operating budget; negotiate with suppliers to secure the best discounts and terms;
- Human Resources Management – Supervision: Hire, train, motivate, and supervise department staff (advisors, parts clerks);
- Scheduling: plan team schedules;
- Customer service and liaison: provide excellent service at the counter and over the phone;
- Collaboration: work closely with the after-sales service manager and the body shop to ensure repairs run smoothly.
General requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in automotive parts management, ideally at a dealership;
- Proficiency in parts management systems (e.g., CDK).
