THE OPPORTUNITY

This position is located at our Edmonton West Bodyshop.

The Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician - Body Shop will be responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work in accordance with dealer and factory standards and preparing service documentation in accordance with company policy and performing quality work while adhering to the work assigned to them.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
 

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Perform quality work without direct supervision and overseeing the work of the apprentice assigned to them
• Adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
• Install new or replacement parts according to specifications
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specification and legislated regulations
• Assure completion of all repairs, maintenance requirements and/or modifications to the truck or other assigned vehicle
• Stay abreast of technology and attend training as it becomes available
• Becomes familiar with and complies with the company's Health & Safety Manual.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of
 

• A High school diploma
• A Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician with heavy truck experience
• Preferred Heavy Duty Truck dealership experience
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a Heavy-Duty Truck fleet or shop environment
