Press Operator

Responsibilities
 

• Accountable for continuing a job in press according to schedule.
• Follow QDC procedure steps as per PRO61-10 and PRO62-10.
• Conduct regular checks to be performed while press is running.
• Responsible for completion of daily production sheet and other paperwork as required in a timely manner.
• Keep checking/changing heat code & date stamp as required.
• Responsible for pulling a die/stamp when job is complete or as required.
• Always ensure bins are accurately tagged.
• Do regular safety checks on presses.
• Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts.
• Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.

Requirements
 

• Grade 12 or equivalent work experience.
• Must show some mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to load coil from coil car to feeder.
• Ability to start new coil through die.
• Ability to participate in all aspects of quick die change.
• Ability to use SmartPac and Spectrum Systems.
• Ability to remove old coil/strip from die.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural and fast paced environment

This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be:

$20.50 - $30.59
