Position: Fleet Vehicle Sign-Out Assistant (Seasonal)
Department: Fleet
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM scheduled as required.
Position Overview Fleet is seeking a temporary Fleet Vehicle Sign-Out Assistant to help prepare vehicles and support our annual vehicle sign-out process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pre-trip inspections, securement and lift troubleshooting, along with a customer-service mindset. This position is ideal for a TCS who enjoys working outdoors, staying active and contributing as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist Fleet with moving buses into the designated sign-out area.
- Fuel vehicles when required.
- Install and organize route equipment and securement in assigned buses.
- Prepare vehicles for sign-out. All equipment installations will be verified by a Fleet Lead before the vehicle is released.
- Assist with the vehicle sign-out process by helping drivers locate and receive their assigned buses.
- Help maintain an organized, safe, and efficient sign-out area.
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence Class 4S
- Comfortable working outdoors for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to walk throughout the day and perform physical tasks.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely around moving vehicles.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable and solution-focused, with the ability to respond effectively to changing needs and unexpected challenges.
Training
- Training on the Fleet vehicle sign-out process will be provided.
- Fleet Leads will be available throughout the process to provide guidance and answer questions.
Schedule
This is a flexible, temporary position, with shifts scheduled according to operational needs during the annual vehicle sign-out period.
