About the Role
Serpa Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM SRT & Serpa Certified Collision Repair Centre is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to manage and administer all accounting, reporting, and government compliance requirements across the dealership. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to step into a leadership role within a growing, family-owned automotive group.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of finance/accounting experience, or equivalent demonstrated knowledge of dealership operations.
- CDK / Lightspeed experience considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Comfortable working cross-departmentally with managers, bank representatives, and manufacturer partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile daily banking activity.
- Prepare, analyze, and finalize the dealer's month-end financial statements.
- Produce and review expense reports.
- Post and maintain monthly standard journal entries.
- Reconcile monthly manufacturer rebates.
- Support departmental managers during bank audits.
- Prepare cheques for lien payouts and vehicle purchases.
- Oversee and prepare the monthly floor plan report used in commission calculations; manage floor plan payoffs and liaise with bank representatives.
- Post deals accurately to ensure correct commission and bonus calculations.
- Take on additional accounting responsibilities as they arise.
