Jardeg is hiring Heavy Equipment Technician / Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeypersons to to join the Heartland Constructors maintenance team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary/Edmonton to site! Shift schedules will be on a 14 days on, 14 days off, 12 hours per day. While working on site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facility, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more!
Heavy Equipment Technician / Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeypersons maintain, repair and overhaul heavy vehicles and industrial equipment. Heavy lifting is required.
Responsibilities:
- Hands on maintenance and repairs of all equipment and sizes including CAT/Komatsu/Hitachi/etc.
- Large scale overhauls and rebuilds.
- Replacing components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
- Preventive maintenance and services.
- Complete work according to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Work closely with customers maintenance and operations personnel.
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
- Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.
- Complete service reports.
- Mine Equipment experience - large graders, shovels, dozers (D-9 - D-11's), haul trucks (797's) and other related equipment.
- Ability to understand hydraulic and electronic schematics.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provincial Journeyperson or Red Seal Certification
- Standard First Aid Level A or C
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Energy Safety Canada- Common Safety Orientation
- Energy Safety Canada Wood Buffalo Awareness
- Over Head Crane
- Basic Rigging - In Person
- Counterbalance Forklift
- Must complete satisfactory Drug & Alcohol test
