Who You Are

Ground Effects is currently searching for a Quality Assurance Supervisorto join our Operations team in Oakville, Ontario.

In this role, you are responsible for overseeing the quality process to ensure a world class quality product is being installed on our customer's vehicles. Supervision of floor presence and following all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance from your team is required.

What You Can Expect From the Role:

The responsibilities of the Quality AssuranceSupervisorteam member are as follows:

 

  • "Hands On" production floor presencerequiredto ensure a quality product is being installed on our customer's vehicles.

    • Provide daily quality report along with customers reports weekly or asrequired.
    • Train quality staff on work instructions, completion of QA check-sheets and critical vehicle inspection points.
  • Development,maintenanceand continuous improvement of IATF16949 facility process documentation, work instructions, process flow/PFMEA, controlplansand audit plans.
    • Conductvehicle and processaudits.
    • Develop and maintenance of vehicle travelers and QA check-sheets for new and current programs.
    • Develop detailed responses to customer concerns / corrective actions and warranty claimsin a timely manner.
  • Navigate andassistwith regular customer website maintenance viaCovisint&eSupplierconnectetc.
    • Maintain communication channels with Production Supervisor and Plant Manager toensure First Time Quality is achieved while ensuring production build schedule is adheredtoo.
  • Be visible on the floor and follow all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliancefromyour team.
    • Ensureall work in process is properly taggedin accordance withprocedures and instructions.
    • Ensure compliance with the Environmental Management System.
    • Ensure nonconforming products are handledappropriateand ensure root cause analysisarecompleted to avoid reoccurrence of a nonconforming product.
    • Ensure that the OSHA and internal safe operating principles are in place and adhered to.

    • Comply withprovisions of the OSHA Regulations
    • Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of the employees.
    • Ensurereporting staff isacquainted with and aware of the hazards present in the workplace and provide information,instructionand proper supervision.


What Qualifications and Skills Do You Possess?

 

  • Minimum requirement of Grade 12 education.
  • 1-3yearsas a quality lead or supervisor in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Excellent communicationandorganizationalskills
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Must be team oriented.
  • Must have andmaintaina valid Driver's License.
  • Familiarity with the following:
  •  
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Quality Control Plans
    • PFMEA
    • Quality Audits
    • Containment & GP-12 activities
    • Trial Runs/PTRs/PERs

  • Manufacturing environment with leadership assignments. Continuous exposure to weather elements, chemical, robotics, industrial manufacturing and automotive vehicles.
  • Mustcomply withall Company policies,proceduresand work instructions.
  • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on the production floor.
