We are seeking professional and reliable Security Badge Specialist to join our client's manufacturing plants in the Cambridge, ON. Our client, one of the largest automotive companies in the world, is a leader in the automotive industry and a favourite amongst drivers around the world. They are known globally for their diverse vehicles, pioneering hybrid vehicles, and their extensive global manufacturing and sales, focusing on quality, safety, and sustainable mobility.
As a Security Badge Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for coordinating coherent badging operations and maintaining essential, professional, responding to emails and badge requests in a timely manner and following security standards and practices. Additionally, as a you will be in charge of scheduling and workforce management, along with payroll. The successful candidate must possess a professional demeanour, the ability to balance a myriad of daily tasks, and display superior communication abilities. In addition, this position involves support for quick and effective responses to customers, employees, security, facilities, and other related service needs.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Position: Security Badge Specialist - Access Badges
Reports To: Site Security Manager (SSM)
Location: Cambridge, ON
Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:00hrs, or as per operational needs
Payrate: $28.00/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
Badge Administration
- Provide friendly, cordial, and exceptional customer service
- Act as the steward for all general building security desk operations
- Answer calls, support inquiries and front-desk operations
- Onsite key inventory management for access control
- Issue all personnel badges for the client site using Badging Guard interface with the security Access Control System
- Directly support security access control and visitor management, internal and external customer relations
Scheduling & Workforce Management
- Create, maintain, and adjust schedules to ensure proper coverage for our client's site in accordance with operational requirements and collective agreement provisions.
- Assign shifts based on seniority, availability, qualification, and union rules where applicable.
- Coordinate last-minute coverage, call-offs, vacation requests, and shift changes while minimizing overtime costs.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records in WFM system.
- Monitor trends and provide recommendations to leadership regarding staffing efficiencies.
Payroll & Reporting Support
- Verify schedules and hours for payroll accuracy and timely submission.
- Track absences, overtime, and leave of absence.
- Support reporting related to staffing levels, vacancies, and workforce utilization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Ontario Security License.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a badging or similar role
- Previous scheduling or administrative experience, preferably in a unionized security service environment.
- Must possess direct experience working with access control systems (Lenel I.D. Credential center) technology
- Must possess experience working with badging systems and maintenance.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft suite programs specifically Microsoft Excel
- Must possess customer service experience in a security environment
