The Narmco Group is an industry leader in the automotive industry for metal stamping and assembly. As a result of continuously growing our professional team, we have a challenging career opportunity for a Corporate Controller in our Finance Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Controller
- The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
- Responsible for the overall control, development and supervision of the Accounting team and Financial Reporting of assigned operating facilities. This is a multisite oversight role.
- Management and integration of the accounting systems and financial reporting structure at the corporate level.
- Responsible to oversee multiple plant Controllers and their related Accounting Teams. Travel is required to our facilities and operations, within and outside of Canada.( Mexico and USA)
- Ensure compliance with all Corporate Policies where they either are 1) financially measurable or 2) are controlled / monitored by the accounting system.
- Conduct special projects and investigations as directed by Executive Management or the CFO.
- Ensure orderly and timely execution of the annual external audits of assigned operating companies.
- Risk (insurance) Management for the Corporate Group.
- Maintenance of a proper system of Internal Controls to ensure the safeguarding of Corporate assets.
- Ensure that all government corporate filings are made on a timely basis.
- Review that all potential government programs are investigated and evaluated on a regular basis.
- Experience in Cross Boarder, multi-Jurisdictional accounting, transfer pricing an asset. Experience with Mexico a plus.
Education and Skills and Experience
- A University or College graduate in Financial Accounting or Business Administration with an accounting or financial Major.
- Recognized professional accounting designation - C.A, C.G.A, C.M.A, C.P.A
- 7-10 years' financial accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. International accounting experience, working in or with jurisdictions outside Canada (Preferably USA and Mexico).
- Preferred experience in Enterprise Management Software reporting platforms such as OneStream / Hyperion.
