Job Details

Job Responsibilities
 

• Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicle transmissions efficiently and according to dealership and factory standards
• Disassemble, diagnose, and repair transmissions
• Clean and inspect all transmission components
• Provide accurate labor and time estimates for additional repairs
• Communicate mechanical diagnoses and repair needs clearly to service advisors and customers in understandable terms
• Stay current with automotive technology by participating in formal training
• Inspect and test new vehicles and document findings to ensure necessary repairs are completed

Work Environment

This position is based in a professional, fast-paced dealership environment that values safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will perform hands-on mechanical work using the latest diagnostic equipment and technology.

Job Requirements: Qualifications
 

• Minimum of three years' experience as a transmission technician
• Factory certification is preferred
• Experience with warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on multiple vehicle makes and models
• Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic
• Positive attitude and high-energy personality
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to read and understand technical instructions
• Good judgment and problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
