Position Summary:

Reporting to the Supply Manager, SSI; the Demand Planning Analyst improves the efficiency of supply chain operations through data collection and analysis. The ideal candidate will be supporting data-driven decision-making process by bridging analytical insights with operational and business needs, particularly within purchasing, planning, and supply chain functions. The candidate would need to be comfortable working with large and complex data sets and translating data into clear, actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyse large, structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.
  • Closely working with supervisors to capturing demand trends, seasonality and ensure to meet business targets.
  • Translate analytical findings into business requirements, insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Support purchasing and planning teams with data-driven analysis related to demand, supply, inventory, and performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business challenges and provide data-backed solutions.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to investigate data issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all analyses.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis requests and conduct deep-dive investigations.
  • Clearly communicate insights, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Required Competencies:

 

  • 3-5 years of work experience as a Data Analyst or in a related analytical role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics or Mathematics.
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and complex data structures.
  • Experience in operations, supply chain, or inventory analytics.
  • Proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a structured, analytical approach.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Automotive industry experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Working knowledge of SQL (asset).
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
