Position Summary

The Modern Retail Sales Executive creates business relationships and increase CDK revenue through face-to-face and remote sales activities for specific Canadian sales solutions. Works in conjunction with the current CDK client sales reps increasing sales opportunities to grow CDK's wallet share in existing and competitive client bases.

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

 

  • Under guidance provided from the Canadian VP/GM and regional Director of Sales, has ability to attain measurable results and achieve sales quotas:
    • Identify new opportunities with existing and new CDK clients
    • Generate significant revenue and profit growth utilizing a disciplined and process-oriented approach.
    • Formulate an overall sales plan and forecast short and long-term sales results


Qualifications
 

  • Excellent sales skills with a high level of proficiency in communications needed.
  • Knowledge of Automotive CRM systems with at least 3 years of experience working with CRM and related software systems
  • Knowledge of automotive, finance/insurance and digital retailing strongly preferred
  • Have persuasive written and verbal communication skills along with strong presentation ability
  • Ability to travel approximately 75% or more is required
  • Be a self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of specific CDK products and their functionality
  • Understand industry segment and keep abreast of competitor developments in the market and/or territory.
  • Possess strong computer skills with current technical knowledge, i.e. proficiency w/MS Office (Excel/PP)
  • Possess solid interpersonal and communication skills in order to make presentations, present persuasive proposals and close deals
  • Ability to present new product concepts to marketplace
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.


Preferred:
 

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce
  • 2+ years of dealership retail experience, preferably at the management level


Salary = $85,000 + Commissions
