Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyperson - Offroad to work with Technical Workforce Inc. at our Edmonton Shop.
The schedule for this position is 5 days on and 2 days off. There will be occasional travel required to different project sites within Edmonton and surrounding areas, specifically our DOW project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
Responsibilities:
- Hands on maintenance and repairs of all civil construction equipment including dozers, articulated trucks, excavators, etc.
- Running repairs and maintenance work
- Replacing components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
- Preventive maintenance and services.
- Complete work according to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Work closely with customers maintenance and operations personnel.
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
- Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.
- Complete service reports.
- Ability to understand hydraulic and electronic schematics.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provincial Journeyperson or Red Seal Certification in Heavy Equipment Technician trade
- WHMIS
- CSTS
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Fall Protection is an asset
- Reliable transportation
