About the opportunity...

As an integral part of the "we can do that" operation, this position will be to champion and oversee the vehicle lease portfolio. Specifically, the position will be responsible to:
 

  • Establish sales and profit objectives and pursue achievement through planning, organizing, controlling and measuring and
  • Maintain and retain an existing customer-base of leased vehicles while pursuing growth through cost effective marketing and program enhancements
  • Manage the lease vehicle portfolio and negotiate with third party credits to float transactions
  • Ensure the security of leased vehicles, including the lien registration, insurance and potential repossession of vehicles
  • With the Sales Management Team, actively purchase new vehicles, and sell pre-owned vehicles to optimize inventory; determine rates, buy-back and wholesale values
  • Oversee the performance of Vehicle Lease Consultants to ensure that objectives are met by assisting in the development of short- and long-term objectives
  • Work with Vehicle Lease Consultants to professionally close vehicle lease sales transactions
  • Oversee and manage receivables relating to lease vehicle transactions


Customer Portfolio Management • Maintain comprehensive database of customer lease agreements and expiration timelines • Proactively contact customers 2 or 3 years into lease and/or 90-120 days before lease maturity to discuss renewal options • Track lease portfolio performance including renewal rates, early terminations, and customer lifetime value • Manage lease return scheduling and coordination with service departments

Customer Relations and Retention • Build strong relationships with existing lease customers to maximize retention and loyalty • Conduct outreach campaigns via phone, email, and direct mail to engage lease customers • Address customer concerns and questions about lease terms, mileage, and wear charges • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the lease renewal process

Sales and Negotiation • Present lease renewal options including same vehicle extensions and new vehicle upgrades • Negotiate lease terms, payments, and incentives to secure customer renewals • Work with customers to structure lease agreements that meet their budget and needs • Collaborate with sales team to transition customers into new vehicle leases

Lease Administration and Processing • Process lease renewal applications and coordinate credit approvals with finance partners • Prepare and review lease renewal documentation and customer agreements • Calculate lease payments, residual values, and applicable fees and incentives • Ensure compliance with manufacturer lease programs and captive finance company guidelines

Cross-Department Coordination • Partner with sales consultants to identify upgrade opportunities for lease customers • Work with service departments to schedule pre-lease-end inspections and maintenance • Coordinate with F&I managers on lease renewal financing and product offerings • Collaborate with remarketing team on lease return vehicle processing

Performance Analysis and Reporting • Generate monthly reports on lease renewal rates, customer retention, and revenue impact • Analyze lease portfolio trends and identify opportunities for improvement • Track customer satisfaction metrics and lease renewal conversion rates • Provide regular updates to management on lease portfolio performance and forecasts

Lease Return Management • Coordinate vehicle inspections and assess excess wear and mileage charges • Work with customers to resolve lease-end charges and payment arrangements • Process lease return paperwork and vehicle reconditioning requirements • Manage auction and remarketing activities for returned lease vehicles

Preferred Qualifications and Assets: • Experience with automotive dealership management systems including Reynolds and vAuto • Strong computer and technology skills with ability to learn new software platforms • Ability to draft and send professional emails, text messages, and written correspondence • Multilingual abilities to serve diverse customer base • Excellent verbal communication skills for phone-based customer interactions

  • post-secondary education
  • at least three (3) years proven experience managing a dealership lease portfolio
  • five (5) years vehicle sales experience
  • valid Driver's License with a clean driving abstract
  • valid OMVIC License
  • strong attention to detail, organized and strategic
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
