Position Title: Public Works Operator/ Mechanic

Status: Full Time

Wage: $31.00 - $35.50/hour

Company Biography
The Township of Enniskillen is located in central Lambton County and has a population of 2,800. The Township is responsible for the construction and maintenance of local roads, a water distribution system and a sewer system for the Hamlet of Oil City.

Position Overview
The public works employee will be required to carry out a variety of duties in connection with road maintenance and road construction, operate a variety of equipment including dumptruck, salt/sander and backhoe.
Assist with the daily maintenance of the water and sewer systems.
Maintain and repair equipment in the department. 
Carry out mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and any other repairs required to ensure the efficient operation of all equipment. 
When required, attend to stranded equipment to carry out field repairs.

Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 Education
- Possess and maintain a valid Ontario DZ driver's license. A class AZ license would be an asset. Must maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the Township's insurance carrier.
- A valid Class 1 or Class 2 Water Operating license, and a Class 1 Waste Water Treatment license would be considered an asset
- A valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician licence and a valid 310S Automotive Service Technician licence would be considered an asset
