Dilawri Group is now actively searching for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Regional HR team in Ontario. This is a full-time, onsite position based at our Regional Office located at 5500 Dixie Road, Mississauga, ON.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports recruitment efforts across our Ontario dealership network and corporate functions. The successful candidate will partner closely with management to deliver end-to-end recruitment solutions, ensuring timely hiring while building strong talent pipelines to support both current and future workforce needs.
At a strategic level, the Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in driving organizational performance by attracting top talent, strengthening employer branding, improving candidate experience, and supporting workforce planning initiatives. This team contributes directly to business growth by aligning recruitment strategies with operational objectives, enhancing hiring processes, and supporting leadership with data-driven staffing insights.
The expected pay for this position is $55,000 - $70,000
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of dealership and corporate roles.
• Serve as the lead recruiter for key roles across the organization.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide hiring guidance.
• Develop and execute creative, proactive candidate sourcing strategies using job boards, referrals, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
• Employ creative recruitment marketing techniques to increase visibility of Dilawri career opportunities on social media.
• Post job opportunities on the company website and external job boards.
• Screen resumes, conduct pre-screen interviews, and assess candidate suitability.
• Coordinate interviews and facilitate the offer process.
• Communicate with applicants and shortlisted candidates to provide timely status updates.
• Build talent pipelines to support ongoing and future hiring needs.
• Provide guidance and recruitment-related training to hiring managers on hiring policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and applicant tracking documentation.
• Support onboarding activities, including reference checks, orientation preparation, and delivery of onboarding sessions.
• Assist with recruitment events such as job fairs, campus initiatives, and student co-op and internship recruitment activities.
• Provide administrative support for LMIA and foreign worker recruitment processes, as required.
• Independently build, own, and maintain critical relationships across the business.
• Serve as subject matter expert for talent acquisition analytics and routine recruitment reporting.
• Track training initiatives and employee recognition programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment processes and the candidate experience.
• Adhere to all applicable federal and provincial regulations and company policies.
• Assume other duties or special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications Required
• Completion of, or enrollment in, a Human Resources program (CHRP in progress is an asset).
• 3-5 years of experience in a full-cycle recruitment role.
• Automotive or retail recruitment experience considered an asset.
• Strong organizational, planning, and administrative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to small and mid-sized groups.
• Proven time management skills with the ability to take initiative and manage changing and competing priorities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, including drafting job descriptions.
• Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work confidently under pressure.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs, with willingness to work longer hours as required.
• Demonstrated professionalism in all aspects of work.
• High level of discretion required due to access to confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Must possess a valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
