Dexter Construction is a large, diversified Construction Company engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction industry within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking an Automotive Technician Apprentice based out of Moncton, NB to join our maintenance team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
 

  • Assist licensed Automotive Technicians in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing company vehicles, transport trucks, and trailers
  • Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, lubrication, tire changes, and basic mechanical repairs
  • Learn to inspect brake systems, steering components, suspension, and driveline systems under supervision
  • Complete work orders and service reports accurately
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment as directed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Participate in on-the-job training and apprenticeship block requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:
 

  • Registered or eligible to register as an Automotive Technician Apprentice in New Brunswick
  • Completion of high school or equivalent (technical training considered an asset)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a fast-paced shop environment
  • Valid driver's license (clean abstract considered an asset)
  • Working safely is a condition of employment
