At Ford Credit Canada, you'll play a vital role in enhancing our reputation as a best-in-class lender. You'll work within a large team and a wide network of Canadian Ford/Lincoln dealers, providing personalized service and professional expertise. Your main responsibilities will include evaluating applications for creditworthiness and directly negotiating credit terms with dealers by phone. Effective communication and analytical skills are crucial for success in this role. Ideal candidates should also understand credit, financial analysis, sales, collections, and relationship management.
What You'll Do:
As a Dealer Services Analyst (DSA), you'll be at the heart of our credit team, playing a crucial role in helping customers finance their vehicles. You'll:
- Make Quick Decisions: Evaluate a high volume of credit applications daily, assessing creditworthiness and making fast decisions on approvals or denials.
- Solve Complex Cases: Tackle challenging credit applications, negotiating terms with dealers and using strong judgment for decisive outcomes.
- Build Relationships: Collaborate closely with Ford/Lincoln dealers over the phone, developing and nurturing business relationships.
- Balance Sales & Risk: Help facilitate vehicle sales for dealers and Ford of Canada by providing financing, all while managing lending risks responsibly.
Important Note:
This is a hybrid position based in Oakville, Ontario, requiring four or more days per week in the office with the potential for one remote day. To ensure a successful onboarding experience, you will be required to attend training in-person, at Oakville, ON, five days per week for your first four weeks.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate a high volume of credit applications daily, assessing creditworthiness and making fast decisions on approvals or denials.
- Tackle challenging credit applications, negotiating terms with dealers and using strong judgment for decisive outcomes.
- Build Relationships: Collaborate closely with Ford/Lincoln dealers over the phone, developing and nurturing business relationships.
- Help facilitate vehicle sales for dealers and Ford of Canada by providing financing, all while managing lending risks responsibly.
- Analyze and make informed decisions on consumer and commercial credit adhering to our purchase policy and lending requirements. You'll review an average of 40-50 applications per day, spending about 5 minutes on each application and performing additional investigations needed.
- Be a key point of contact for our dealership partners, directly negotiating the terms on credit applications, nurturing business relationships and applying your knowledge of the company's plans and plans to drive win-win solutions. Much of your daily work will be on phone with dealers.
- Use sound judgment to evaluate creditworthiness and make decisions in the best interest of the Company on your own.
- Apply coaching and training provided as well as participate in ongoing team calibration sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge base. At times, you may also learn different functions to support Company needs.
Qualifications
What You'll have...
- Bachelor's degree in business related field, Organizational Development, or any other related discipline. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
- Must be available to work rotational shifts, including evenings (Monday - Friday up to 9:00 pm EST), some holidays, and Saturdays (Saturdays up to 8:00pm EST).
- Must be able to work in office 4 days/week.

- Bilingual in English and French is preferred.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships, negotiate effectively, and adapt communication style to diverse situations.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to independently implement solutions to overcome challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
- Understanding of credit, financial analysis, sales, collections, relationship management is a plus.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $65, 242.00 - $ 70, 770.00 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our quarterly Flexible Bonus Rewards program.
