About the Opportunity
The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Fleet & Equipment Assistant based in Lake Country, BC.
Reporting to the Fleet & Equipment Crew Lead, the Fleet & Equipment Assistant position is responsible for a range of functions pertaining to the daily operation, organization and administration of the District's vehicle, equipment and workshop facility.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Cleans and maintains the shop and yard areas, fuels and cleans vehicles, operates a forklift and loader/backhoe, and other equipment as assigned;
- Provides assistance to Fleet Technicians and performs basic servicing on vehicles and equipment;
- Picks up parts and drives a variety of vehicles and equipment to and from external service shops and suppliers.
More About You
To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of Grade 12 diploma and a minimum of one years work experience in mechanical shop setting experience. Additionally, you must hold a valid British Columbia driver's license.
