Mechanic-1 License (310T Truck and Coach Technician) - $45.29The City of Dryden is currently seeking a dual certified Mechanic with a 310T Truck & Coach Technician License and a 310S Automotive Technician license OR a single certified Mechanic with a 310T Truck & Coach Technician license with the ability to obtain a 310S certification. Job Summary:
Reporting to the Lead Hand Mechanic, participates in fleet maintenance services ensuring proper maintenance and repairs to vehicles and equipment. Provides recommendations and suggestions for short- and long-term planning of vehicle and equipment maintenance. This position provides an opportunity to work and provide service on all types of municipal equipment.Position Requirements:
- 310T Journeyman Truck and Coach Technician License in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades.
- 310S Journeyman Automotive Technician License in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades would be considered an asset;
- Five (5) years of experience as a mechanic along with direct experience with repairs and preventative maintenance of gas and diesel vehicles.
- Heavy equipment, body repair, welding experience; and experience working on small engines considered an asset.
- Have and maintain a valid Class "D" driver's license, with a "Z" endorsement for air brakes or ability to obtain.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with a proven focus on service delivery.
- Must provide own mechanical tools as required.
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and submit a clean criminal record check and driver's abstract, prior to start date at candidate's expense.
