Tomlinson is seeking to fill an immediate requirement for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic based out of our Heavy Equipment Division at 5151 Albion Road, Ottawa. This position is full-time permanent position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various types and brands of heavy equipment.
- Utilize computerized and other testing equipment to determine repairs and create detailed service reports.
- Contribute to the ongoing reliability of all heavy equipment and ensure compliance with preventitve maintenance requirements.
- Test repaired equipment to verify proper maintenance.
- Preparation of accurate written repair order sheets and reports
- Interpretation of service manuals, schematics, lube charts, repair orders, etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Overtime as required
- Work successfully and efficiently with minimal supervision
EXPERIENCE
- At least 4 years' experience, ideally with mechanic's license
- Experience with diesel engine equipment and some experience with gasoline engine experience, specifically Caterpillar & John Deer.
- Safety training and experience is an asset
