Description
- Perform CMM measurements, set-up, inspection and reporting in quality lab
- Be hands-on with the monitoring, measurement, and support of most QC systems
- Maintains gage qualification, calibration records & quality related documentation
- Create and maintain quality reports and communicate findings to appropriate personnel
- Investigate and suggest improvements for measurement methods
- Perform measurements of products and components for part validation, PPAP and first article inspection
- Perform calibration of all metrology equipment
- Ensure all lab equipment is maintained in a good working order
- Perform studies and collect data to determine part and process capabilities at varying stages of production
- Enforce and follow Axiom policies, procedures and best practices.
- Liaises with engineering and other production staff as required to troubleshoot, research and solve technical problems
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
PRE-REQUISITES:
- Must have minimum 2 years working experience in quality/inspection and calibration experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings (GD&T)Ability to operate CMM independently
- Hands on experience using Rational DMIS & PC-DMIS software is an asset!
- Experience with Design software and interpreting to CMM (CAD/AutoCAD)
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments including Optical Comparator, Calipers, Micrometers, Gauge Block, Pin Gauge, CMM, FARO, etc.)
- CQA or CQT certification is an asset!
- Must have knowledge of statistics and SPC functions and analysis of related data.
- Good analytical, oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail
- Computer literacy and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Experience in the Automotive industry is an asset!
