THE OPPORTUNITY 

The Regional Parts Sales and Aftermarket Fleet Sales Manager and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing truck and equipment parts sales volumes and profitability within the region in concert with branch management and the Product Support Representatives (PSRs). This position is also responsible for selling to and fostering relationships and growing parts and service sales with our National Fleet Accounts and targeted large fleet accounts.

This position requires knowledge of heavy truck parts, commercial truck shop operations and/or experience in a truck or equipment dealership as parts technician/parts counterperson.

This position is located at our sales and service dealership in Winnipeg, MB 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develops and achieves maximum sales volumes consistent with sales projections for the parts business unit
  • Provides value-added services through consistent customer visits with a focus on penetrating major fleets
  • Conducts sales calls with PSRs to introduce new products and promotions
  • Maintains high level relationships with key fleet contacts at existing and target fleets and provides needed support to the assigned PSRs who will maintain responsibility for servicing accounts on a day-to-day basis.
  • Conducts new and unassigned fleet site sales calls on a weekly basis.
  • Ensures fleets and Inland personnel are trained on how to conduct business through the PACCAR National Fleet Account program.
  • Monitors operation of "key" PSR assigned accounts and offers advice and assistance when required in areas such as inventory control, available services, new products and/or product enhancements
  • Reviews Parts CRM weekly, ensuring PSRs are logging calls and activities
  • Responsible for coordinating and facilitating vendor training and marketing initiatives as well as monitoring the performance of Product Support Representatives through regular branch visits and accompanying the PSRs on customer visits.
  • Becomes familiar with and complies with the company's health and safety manual


Management Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborates with branch management on hiring, training, motivating, counseling, and monitoring the performance of all PSR staff within the Region
  • Attends and participates as needed during monthly Parts Manager and Product Support Representatives meetings


Utilizes Parts CRM to:

 

  • Track overall sales performance
  • Ensure PSR account assignments in CDK match those within Parts CRM
  • Review whether accounts are being called on or underperforming and address with Director, Parts Sales and Branch Management


WHAT WE LOOK FOR

 

  • Leadership or Supervisory experience preferred
  • Qualification as a parts journeyperson preferred or thorough knowledge of aftermarket truck parts industry
  • Three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
  • Proven sales skills, preferably in a related field
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Accountability and dependability
  • Time management
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Solid business ethics, applies professional approach at all times
