On behalf of our client, Full Throttle Power Sports, we are looking for a Red Seal Motorcycle Mechanic to join their growing team.

The Opportunity:
As a Red Seal Motorcycle Mechanic, you will play an essential role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, and personal watercraft. This position requires strong technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, and a dedication to providing high-quality service. You will collaborate closely with the service team and customers to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance of all units serviced.

You are a highly skilled and detail-oriented Red Seal Motorcycle Mechanic with a proven track record in power sports maintenance and repair. With strong problem-solving abilities, you work efficiently under time constraints and take pride in delivering quality service. Your professionalism, customer service skills, and ability to stay current with evolving technologies make you a strong fit for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, and personal watercraft.
- Conduct inspections and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve technical problems efficiently.
- Perform engine rebuilds, transmission repairs, and other complex mechanical work.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks comply with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and customer service reports.
- Provide professional recommendations for necessary repairs and upgrades to customers.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and ensure tools/equipment are properly maintained.
- Stay current with the latest technology, tools, and advancements in power sports mechanics.
- Complete required BRP training modules.
- Own and maintain a complete set of tools.
- Abide by all dealership policies, including dress code and safety requirements (e.g., steel-toed boots, helmets for unit movement).
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all team members.
Requirements
- Red Seal Certification as a Motorcycle Mechanic (or equivalent provincial qualification).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in motorcycle and power sports vehicle repair.
- Strong knowledge of engines, brakes, suspension, electronics, and related systems.
- Experience with major brands such as Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Polaris, or BRP is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, technical documents, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, shop equipment, and hand tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; motorcycle license preferred.
Benefits
- Hourly wage starting at $25.00, based on experience.
- Health Benefits after a 3 month probation period.
- RRSP (eligible after 1 year of employment).
- Full-time, on-site role in Dartmouth, NS.
