You will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing and controlling of warehousing to ensure efficient inventory and warehouse management and cost-effective delivery of shipment volume objectives. You will be planning, leading, organizing and controlling the plant's Dispensary operations for raw & packaging material to provide consistent quality ingredients to production in an efficient and cost-effective manner. 

How you will contribute

You will: 
 

  • Be accountable for the Warehouse Operations Plan, Coordinate & Manage Receipt/ Issue/ Disposal of raw/packaging materials and finished good inventories in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Deliver Inventory accuracy objectives and ensure Operational requirements are consistently applied while complying to all boundaries & requirements on a regular basis. Provide appropriate and properly maintained Materials handling/ movement equipment and facility to ensure safe and efficient operations. Achieve AM-Autonomous maintenance and PM-Progressive maintenance Step completion goals for warehouse equipment & SGA teams to eliminate losses & downtime.
  • Lead optimum utilization of Warehouse space; conduct warehouse capacity plan review on a regular basis. Ensure storage and handling of all materials and finished goods adheres to standard palletizing, stacking and storage requirements. Manage and control the replenishment of stock at Distributor's warehouses, analysis of inventory movements, to ensure inventory level in the supply chain is at manageable level, and no run or overstock situation and product freshness in the trade. Develop & implement overhead budgets to define cost boundaries for an efficient warehouse operation. Ensure cost targets are met via efficient utilization of equipment, workforce and utilities. Monitor and control materials wastage and variance to generate productivity savings.
  • Be accountable for strong governance & compliance requirements (warehouse audits, ISO, FSSC, Quality management system audits etc.) to be in place, Be a champion to meet and/or exceed Safety & Quality requirements and driving ownership among teams.
  • Be Accountable for Talent, Capabilities & Engagement for the team and responsible for identifying and implementing critical levers to attract, retain & develop critical talent and build capability at all levels, technical and behavioral, to build a sustainable workforce profile for the future. Interface with key stakeholders internally & externally to develop and maintain effective relationships, Align priorities in order to deliver the company objectives and goals and maintain 100% compliance to standards, policies and local legal laws.

  • Relevant work experience in warehouse and/or production operations, inventory management & handling material movement equipment.
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & experience in ERP (SAP) systems.
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written), Analytical & Problem solving skills, strong collaboration and relationship management skills. The capability to work as the Team Leader, developing and aligning goal/master plan for the team, deploying and managing IDP-Individual development plan for the members, coaching team members on their performance management and career development.


More about this role

Main Responsibilities:
 

  • Lead an organization that is responsible for the production scheduling, materials ordering, receiving, warehousing, material handling, palletizing, shipping, transportation.
  • Manage the entire cycle of hiring, coaching, development, and performance management for all the hourly and salaried direct reports in the supply chain areas.
  • Manage the proper implementation and compliance of all the safety, quality, and internal control policies and procedures applicable to the supply chain areas.
  • Work closely with the Operations Leaders, Functional Departments, and the broader supply chain organization to ensure that the production schedule is optimized.
  • Work closely with the broader materials management team, suppliers, procurement team, and transportation companies to ensure the proper materials availability to sustain our production requirements with no impact to our operational efficiency.
  • Manage the implementation of TPM systems and processes to drive continuous improvement in all areas of supply chain.
  • Manage the annual operational budget for CS&L.
  • Drive the equipment reliability agenda by implementing a robust preventive and corrective maintenance program for Powered Industrial Vehicles, Dock Doors, Pallet Elevators, Palletizing Systems, Automated Labelers, and Trailer Yard
  • Drive the continuous improvement agenda to identify and implement productivity projects to provide savings to the business.
  • Manage the proper definition, alignment, and implementation of the correct business continuity plans (BCP) to sustain proper operations at the bakery.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Who is a good fit?
 

  • Bachelor's degree in management, supply chain, and/or engineering is required. Higher education is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated management experience leading a high-performance organization in a manufacturing and/or warehouse work environment either in a food, pharmaceutical, and/or automotive industry is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a high-performance team through the implementation of TPM or integrated lean six sigma
  • Passion for improving the safety, quality, and internal control culture of the core teams in all areas of supply chain.
  • Passion for coaching and developing hourly and salaried direct and indirect reports so that they can fulfill their highest potential and support the business.
  • Passion for improving the equipment reliability in all areas of supply chain.
  • Strong communication, computer (SAP, MS Office, and other WHM programs), and troubleshooting skills are required.
  • Self-driven and able to work with minimum guidance.
  • Flexible to lead a 24/5 organization that is critical to the success of the plant business unit.
