The role of the Evolve Fleet Support is to relocate Evolve e-Bikes and e-Scooters and other micromobility devices and undertake fleet preparation tasks as instructed by the designated lead. The primary objective of maintain the excellent condition of the fleet and to ensure the high fleet availability in service.
Operating in a dynamic sharing micro mobility market, the Fleet Support must demonstrate adaptability and innovation to contribute to a superior member experience. They will also actively participate in tasks related to maintaining the highest standards of device readiness and ensuring that fleets available for rental are in optimal working condition.
What you'll do:
- Wipe down fleet, helmet, and infrastructure ensure all devices, racks and signs are in excellent condition for users.
- Conduct inspections for visible damage and malfunctions on devices and helmets.
- Plug batteries in after battery swapping is completed using provided battery chargers (located in a designated workspace within the region).
- Swap (replace) batteries on devices
- Replace helmets
- Reposition fleet to designated parking zones
- Transportation of fleet to and from the field, staging/warehouse facility or repair locations.
- Represent BCAA and the Evolve to the public
- Providing customer support while in the field during interactions with the public and users
- Troubleshoot technical issues such as cell phone connectivity, GPS errors, and IOT device issues.
- Support Evo car share fleet operations as required
- Other in field responsibilities as assigned
- Receiving parts and supplies and managing inventory levels
- Preparing fleet for deployment according to standard operating procedures
- Organize and maintain any warehouse facilities
- Cleaning fleet equipment, including the removal of visible stains or dirt from devices
- Review daily and weekly reports; and managing daily activities to meet key performance indicators
- Manage fleet and parts inventory; submit necessary requests to the head office.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and suggest improvements to the Operation Manager.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Coordinates special projects as assigned to support daily fleet operations
What you bring:
- Superior verbal as well as written skills
- Superior attention to detail
- Intermediate knowledge of MS/ Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic CRM Tool Knowledge
- Demonstrated organizational, detail orientation, prioritization skills and time management skills
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work efficiently within deadlines
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to work independently and proven ability to complete tasks from start to finish
- Proven communication skills(written/verbal) and ability to effectively communicate with various levels of management, team members and/or outside contacts
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team oriented, high demand and fast paced environment
- Proven ability to establish solid interpersonal relationships, work independently with high initiative
- Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in the outdoors; walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift/carry items more than 70 pounds
- Comfortable moving (rolling and stabilizing) e-bikes and e-scooters in excess of 90 pounds
- Comfortable riding (or learning to ride) e-bikes, e-scooters, and e-cargo bikes
- Class 5 Drivers' license in BC with clean driving record
Please note that this is a term position ending on 30 September, 2026, with the potential for a one-year extension. Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking to relocate to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered. The role requires a 5-day consecutive work schedule, during peak season from May to September with at least one of those days falling on the weekend.
The hourly range for this position is $23.39 - 31.18 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity.
