What You'll Be Doing

Duties and Responsibilities
 

• Backfill field technician positions (and shop positions as needed) within the Lower Mainland BC Region. This role will start as an in-shop role at our Richmond, BC location for the first ~3 months before transitioning to a mainly field-based role.
• Inspect, service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment including (but not limited to) earth-moving equipment, compaction equipment, and aerial equipment such as telehandlers, boom lifts and scissor lifts.
• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment malfunctions and make required repairs, and test repaired equipment for proper performance on customer jobsites (or in the shop as needed).
• Provide a high standard of customer service in all interactions with customers.
• Maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders in a thorough and timely manner.
• Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.
• Maintain access to and assist with priority customers and sites.
• Assist in the repair of hard down equipment.
• Assist in upkeeping the annuals due on contract in the region.

What You'll Bring to the Team

Qualifications and Requirements:
 

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience required, working on a variety of construction equipment.
• Valid class 5 driver's license with clean or satisfactory driver's abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
• 421A or 310T license is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• Must be available to work overtime as required, and to work on an on-call rotation.
• Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
• Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors.
• Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Customer-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
