Job description
Responsibilities:
- Inspect damaged vehicles to assess the extent of body damage;
- Remove parts and components as needed to perform repairs;
- Repair dents, deformations and body damage;
- Straighten body panels using appropriate tools and equipment;
- Replace body panels and parts when repairs are not possible;
- Perform dent removal and straighten metal surfaces;
- Prepare surfaces before finishing work;
- Use various manual, electric and pneumatic auto body tools;
- Check the alignment, dimensions and fit of repaired or replaced panels;
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure precise assembly;
- Work with various materials used in auto body repair, including metal, aluminum and composite materials when required;
- Collaborate with painters and other team members to ensure complete vehicle repairs;
- Follow shop safety procedures and work methods;
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area;
- Perform quality control checks on repairs before moving the vehicle to the next stage.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years in auto body repair and dent removal;
- Education: No diploma required;
- Ability to work 40 hours per week;
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with working in an auto body shop.
